Long and doesn't live up to the expectation of a Steven Spielberg film. It by no means will kill you to watch, as you journey through the first World War with Joey. The most interesting and greatest part of the movie is the meeting between two shoulders who come to the aide of the horse in No-Man-Land. It is the only part of the film showing Spielberg's involvement and it might be the real message of this story. War Horse keeps you entertained and doesn't feel as long as it is (thank the good lord), but the emotional connection the previews elude to, leave you disappointed.
